Looking ahead

Wilkie is working towards alignment with the Scottish Government’s Net Zero by 2045 target. As part of this journey, we are focusing on reducing our environmental impact across our operations and supply chain.

Our goals include:

  • Achieving zero waste to landfill by 2028
  • Reducing energy and water use across all sites
  • Publishing short- and medium-term ESG targets
  • Partnering with suppliers who meet our sustainability standards, targeting 50% engagement by 2030
  • Increasing our use of recycled raw materials where viable
  • Developing materials that support greener industries – from renewables and EVs to air filtration and medical technology

Welcoming Wilkie Dundee

In 2025, Wilkie announced plans to relocate its operations from Kirriemuir to Michelin Scotland Innovation Parc (MSIP) in Dundee, Scotland. The planned move will provide access to renewable energy and modern infrastructure, enabling the business to expand production capacity while reducing its environmental impact.

MSIP will also connect Wilkie with a community of organisations focused on greener growth and industrial innovation, supporting the company’s long-term sustainability ambitions once the relocation is complete.
